- Check out the free activities in the city during the Games as part of Festival Melbourne 2006.
- See the Queen's Baton Relay as it passes through all 71 Commonwealth nations on the way to Melbourne.
- Consider joining a local sporting club.
- Organise a party. I'm planning to invite my friends over to share the atmosphere through watching TV.
- Take part in or pray for the activities of Quest Melbourne More Than Gold.
- Look out for the Road Events during the Games, like the marathon, cycling and walk events.
- Party in the city! With 90,000 interstate and international visitors, the city will be alive!!!
I am so looking forward to it!

Sounds like Melbourne will be great fun at this time of the year! Perth is soooo far away, another world so we'll miss out a bit.
Hi Amanda, I'm sure you'll be able to join in the fun through watching TV ;)
Thanks so much Jayne.
A big WOW!
So much excitement is in the air =P
yes I'm excited about the Commonwealth games, and the opportunities that it presents Audrey.
Hi Kitty,
Thanks for your information, I spent most time in Melbourne staying around South Yarra, what about you?
Melbourne is developing really fast...I still prefer festive at Chapel Street where you have $1 bucks for fresh oyster, $2 bucks or less for a good beer ! Not forgetting heaps of hand-made art beauty!
God is so good, enjoy His creation:-)
My prayers are with you and everyone there. I do hope all goes well and without incident. I also hope you have a wonderful time. ;-)
Hi Godwyn, I live in SouthBank, which is not far from South Yarra at all.
Yes I love Melbourne, and I really enjoying living here.
Thanks Kc.
