Paradigm Shift

A Paradigm Shift is when a significant change happens - usually from one fundamental view to a different view. In most cases, some type of major discontinuity occurs as well.

Thomas Kuhn wrote about Paradigm Shift during the early 1960s, and explained how "series of peaceful interludes punctuated by intellectually violent revolutions" caused "one conceptual world view to be replaced by another view."

In laymen terms, Paradigm Shift is a popular, or perhaps, not so popular shift or transformation of the way we Humans perceive events, people, environment, and life altogether. It can be a national or international shift, and could have dramatic effects -- whether positive or negative -- on the way we live our lives today and in the future.

I have been through quite a number of significant paradigm shifts in my life. What about you?

Yes, I had a significant paradigm shift when I was exposed to the excellent theology of Zane Hodges.

I discovered that eternal life is 100% free and that it is received simply by faith, not by a special kind of faith, not by repentance, not by commitment to Christ, not by surrendering one's life. Simply by trust in the free offer of eternal life through the Son of God.

Every Blessing in Christ

Matthew

Matthew, I've never read Zane Hodges, but what you said makes sense. There shouldn't be any 'work' involved in 'obtaining' eternal life, we just need to trust in the free offer. Blessings!

Ignore the negative remarks of some people who are perpetually pessimistic.
Ignore those who are always selfish and greedy.
It's very draining to be near them.

I used to be very affected by them.
Then I learn to focus on God's goodness and my conscience with my Lord.
He revealed to me that there are still alot of lovely and Christlike people around us.

So, I'm letting go and let God take over.
Just concentrate on the positive people in my life.

Amen! Audrey, what you said here is sooo true! We should concentrate on the positive people in our lives, and focus on God's goodness - although I think we should pray for the negative people too. God can change them!
