Are You A Horse Or A Burro?

Horse: accepts every assignment, takes on all the work, says no to nothing, is very likely to burn out.

Burro: smarter than a horse, refuses to get into overload, if you put too much on the back on the burro he just sits down, he knows when enough is enough.

What are the pros and cons of each? Please let me know of your thoughts in the comment below.

Sis, being a cross between both I guess you know what that makes me! (hehe)

I think we have to be both to serve God, don't we? We need Him to lead us and to never refuse Him but at the same time He has given us the ability to reason with a purpose. We should be liberal with that in all matters of faith but never to the denial of His Spirit. ;-)

Kc,hehe I feel the same, and I am a cross between both too.

What you said is so meaningful. I guess the most important part is 'never to the denial of His Spirit.' Walking in step with the Spirit is soooo essential in serving God isn't it?

Balaam's talking mule is smarter than either of them.

Matt, why do you think you are like the Clidesdale? Seems like you are resting now and are more like a Burro to me.

I think Jesus reminds me of both animal at different contexts. He worked hard and got tired (to the point of sleeping in the boat before the storms came that he had to calm them), yet he also had His solitude and time alone with God to pray.
