After Michael W. Smith's concert on Saturday, I saw another artist yesterday at CCBC. Her name is Ivy So. She is a gospel singer and lyricist from Hong Kong. She was invited by a number of chinese churches and organizations here in Melbourne to conduct a gospel concert. Her story had been performed in a drama for many years now. It was such a moving performance. She has a song called "911 girl" which is so beautiful. I heard that there were over 40 people came to know Jesus on the weekend. Praise the Lord! That's really fantastic!
As I was reflecting on these artists' ministries, I couldn't help but realised that 'platform / stage ministry' can still be used by God in a powerful way in terms of evangelism and mission in this day and age. In fact, it's a great way to reach many at the same time. God is the ultimate artist, it's really no wonder that arts (both performing arts and visual arts) is an amazing tool to share the gospel.
I identify myself with peregrine (a person tending to travel; they are nomadic, mobile, wandering and roving), and sojo (sojourner), one who is a temporary resident in a place. Here I share the journey of my inner and outer life, with a focus on my ethos "be transformed by the renewing of your mind"
