That is true. Often Christians arbitrarily limit the Gospel to salvation from hell.
I think we can discern a distinct 'Gospel of the Kingdom' that has a somewhat different scope to the Gospel of salvation. Jesus' preached the establishment of God's Kingdom which is essentially the establishment of God's rule upon the earth.
