Modernism Versus Postmodernism
Do you think you're modern or postmodern?

Can I be both. Just by having a blog I'm 'postmodern' compared to many of my friends but then I'm modern too with all my technology and being married to a computer nut doesn't help!
Modern, I think.
Theologically I identify with Dispensationalism and the Fundamentalist movement that is very much part of modernity.
I am optimistic about capitalism, technology and science.
I dislike nostalgia about the past and tend to think that the past is overrated.
I would much rather live in a modern house than a more historic building.
I think one could make a pretty good case that Late Modernity or Advance Modernity is a better term than Postmodernity.
Every Blessing in Christ
Matthew
That's a loaded question! (hehe)
I have serious problems with deconstruction but Modern thinking has to advance.
Amanda, I think many people are a bit of both too.
Yes interesting comments Matthew. Can see clearly that you are modern :)
Why is it that you think Late Modernity or Advance Modernity is a better term than Postmodernity?
Is it because modernity is still very much a part of this day and age?
Kc, I agree that deconstruction is problematic. But how do people change that?
I'm post-colonial :-) blessed easter
Sivin, good to hear from you. Yes I'm post-colonial too :-)
